Brave reactions of actors on their reciting Shakespeare after eating super-hot pepper

Eating different variety of hot pepper like jalapeños, a Scotch bonnet, a ghost pepper and a Komodo dragon chili showing braveness for those actors.
Director and Photographer Rosie Collins brought together brave group of actors to eat some super-hot pepper before reciting some of the Shakespeare most famous lines on her new video series, #ChiliMonologues.

Eating super-hot pepper and reciting Shakespeare is not easy task. The reaction of the actors was the evidence throughout their performance, some crying and others guzzling milk to try to numb their suffering but some manage not braking the eye contact with the camera. Indeed, reaction varied from actor to actor.
Rosie Collins learned that the Komodo Dragon pepper, Britain’s hottest commercially grown chili pepper, would be sold in the U.K. and she was inspired to film actors do something with the chilies.

Many wondered why Shakespeare? According to Collins, due to the reactions she was expecting from her actors after they ate the Hot pepper it was “such an obvious fit”.

Collins told the Daily Mail, “It started out as a bit of a joke, but it’s been really interesting watching how different people react to the chilies; how it affects their performance. Some of them really couldn’t handle it, and had to stop every other line to drink some milk, or cry or swear or laugh, but some others pulled out these amazing, intense performances without breaking eye contact with the camera.”
