Surprising News: “A Dead Mouse in my Starbucks Coffee,” a lady claims.

The social media paparazzi have been crazy talking about a recent incident involving Starbucks. This is because of a lady named, Jessa, allegedly found a dead mouse in her frappe. In a report made by TV Patrol, Jessa stated her story. As per the girl, they ordered coffee at Starbucks Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City around 9PM. When they decided to leave, she was not able to finish her drink (which is already half empty), so she decided to take her coffee out. She just noticed that there is something strange inside the coffee while she was stirring it. When she opened it, by her surprise, she saw a dead mouse. She mentioned in an interview this statement, “Pagka-stir ko, ‘dun ko nakita ‘yung daga. Then when I saw that, ‘Oh my gosh,’ as in hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko pero buti na lang hindi ko siya nabitawan bigla. Nanginginig na ako nun that time. Nagsusuka na ako.” (English translation: “When I stirred my coffee, that’s when I saw the mouse. Then when I saw that, ‘Oh my gosh,’ I really didn’t know what to do but good thing I was still able to hold the cup. I was really tremulous that time. I am also vomiting.”)

Jessa, with her friends, went back to the coffee shop to express dissatisfaction but the Manager insisted that it is not from them. She went to Mandaluyong Police instead and filed a formal complaint.

On the other hand, Starbucks Philippines issued an official statement that says, “We are taking our customer's concerns seriously and we are looking into this matter. The safety of our products is of utmost importance. We continue to work to ensure that all of our products meet Starbucks high quality assurance standards."

Many people are cynical about the issue. Some are saying this is a fabricated story to extort money from Starbucks. Others are saying this is really possible to happen.

As we view it, there are important matters that need to be considered. How can a strange thing in a frappe not be noticed if you stayed there for a long time and you ‘almost’ finished it? And yes it is a frappe, that goes through a blender while being prepared, that makes us think twice.
