Teacher, Php 800k debt after posting PRC ID on Facebook

Mark Joseph Lontok is a school public teacher and currently taking action after became the latest of identity theft, owing a total of Php 800, 000 from 4 banks for loans he did not apply.

In an interview, Mark Josesph Lontok said due to his excitement he felt after passing the board exam he posted his PRC ID on Facebook. He also posted his papers when he was regularize in a public school.

Few months later, Mark Joseph Lontok was starting to receive notifications from different banks saying that he borrowed a total of Php 800, 000 in a salary loans.

Mark Joseph Lontok was surprised because he did not sign any document authorizing them to deduct the amount. Even though he denied applying for the loans, the banks still deducted Php 9,000 from his payroll account every month.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) received the photos of the man who applied for the loan using Lontok’s identity from one of the banks.
